Tonight I recall last New Year's
Out with close friends but so alone
Spent the eve hiding my tears
But not tonight I'm staying home

It seems like just yesterday
Drowning in a bar with my friends
Talking without words to say
Rambling till the evening ends

I remember their faces
Guzzling small bottles of whine
And vodka with beer chasers
I guess they were all feeling fine

I wonder are you having fun?
Once again you've left me behind
I wonder are you with someone?
My tears are not what makes me blind

As the new year rolls around
I'm by myself, here all alone
I won't let it bring me down
Because tonight I'm staying home
