A Breakup Made In Heaven

by Terry Olynik

I wished her well.
Somewhere,
Under the heartache,
I truly wanted the best for her.

She expressed a fervent hope
I contract malaria,
And I swear I heard the word
"Beheading" muttered under her breath.

All's well
That ends....
Without police tape and
Chalk outlines.

You've really been making me laugh lately - not that I'm in a bad mood, but sometimes it's nice to get help. Just make sure that if she comes after you that you and Cisco, the cat, have a head start to Mexico to work in that bodega. ;-)

Maybe I'm missing something, some private joke or something, but I don't find this fuuny....more serious in light of my own experiences. Well. It is better when the breakup is facilitated without the police tape ER visit.

Your poems make me giggle; I like that there is humor in them very much.

Dark humor is always my favorite. Nicely done. In situations like these, "all's well that ends," if you ask me.

It seems you and have at least one thing in common Terry. Very well played.
