four leafy haiku

by Jim Benz

yellow leaf
floats to the drain
of an emptying pool

unseasonable rain
overflows gutters
beneath the golden oak

father and son
laughing in the fallen leaves
forget their rakes

three short witches
rustle through leaves
on the way to my doorstep

great ones for fall, Jim. I have a few, that could talk to yours. Ever try Renga? Maybe when I get back on-line in two weeks, we could.

In revisiting autumn themes here, 10 days into October, I'm enjoying these from you very much...very good stuff.
