Without pausing to let changes
Work themselves into the mainstream of life.

No,

Time keeps ticking
And all we can do is attempt to
Keep up with the pace
Moving and adjusting with every change,
With every alteration,
With every new opportunity.
Change is not easy but it is mandatory
With every change comes a chance to grow,
A chance that would not have been without change.

Yet,

We enter into change with
kicking*screaming*silenttears*orfear.
Why must we say goodbye
To something so comfortable?
Why not just stay in this place of safety?
In staying, we become
stagnant,
apathetic,
and unable to learn.
I do not want to be
stagnant*apathetic*unabletolearn,

However,

I find myself
Digging my heels into the ground
As change approaches.
I see the positive aspects this brings,
But they are for everyone else.
All I see is this leaving
Me ever more alone in this wide world.

And life flows ever onward,
Without pausing to let changes
Work themselves into the mainstream of life....

Author's Note: There is major change occuring in my family and I am losing a dear member as they are moving overseas indefinitely. I feel like a part of me is dying, and a part of me is excited for them as they enter into the mission field...
