#7: The Very End Of You (War Against The Machines)

by Jersey D Gibson

Everyday
is a new misery.
Locked down
and starved daily.

There is nothing
for me to say.
Chained up
until I fade away.

Losing
my bruised and beaten soul.
Endlessly, I decree,
there is nothing but misery.

I don't want to live that way,
I don't want to live that way!

Everyday
is a new atrocity.
Beaten down
and fed to shame.

There is nothing
for me to do.
Plan my escape
until I break through.

Losing
my dying, tortured soul.
Endlessly, I decree,
I won't stand for atrocity.

I am
losing
my broken and battered soul.
Eternally, I see,
what has become the death of me.

I don't want to live that way,
I don't want to live that way!

It's the war against the machines...

Very powerful piece, Jersey.
