I wonder will I ever learn
just what this life is for
a neverending mystery
each day another door

I wonder will I ever see
the shining face of God
if I do will he know me
greet me with a nod?

I wonder what
will be said of me
on my final day
should I think hard
choose carefully
every word I say

I wonder how long
my memory will be held
within the minds of men
will you remember me
for who I was or
with the words I pen?
