Robot Dreams

by Joseff Marat

shaded with black
and accented with scarlett
the tin-like taste of soul in my throat
and oval shapes of heaven
spattered with the sacred rain of life

I draw my finger over soft, supple flesh
and fall forever into the sky
I reach out for infinate last fragments of organic pleasure
and am met with false tones of dream

photographing giant monarchs
shooting forgotten enemies
the vessels burst and free my mind
like the openness of space
where my fiber optic hairs look like stars
where a dot on my brain is the sun
and planets revolve around the frontal lobe

the moon is your forehead
your body the Earth
through ions of time I've searched and found you.

Author's Note: This was based on a dream I had. "Photographing giant monarchs/ shooting forgotten enemies" is the only remaining original line. Followed by the reversal of words, "Human Dreams".
