Home

drunk...again and i'm not sorry

by Olivia Weinkein

we throw ourselves in front of traffic
you're more afraid to get caught
than i'll ever be
maybe if we were younger we
would be more afraid of the
consequences

the way they drip down my fingertips
and into your mouth

i know just how to sigh, to tell you
everything will be alright and you
believe me because it's too late to
go back home, too much left to drink
too many stories left to tell and

nevermind the drugs.

our minds are fountains
always spilling out and what really
do your lips have left to say
after all of the casual mindgames
and our favorite indiscretions
i'm tying my hands up behind me

and i dare YOU to come and find me.
