Frog by Joseff Maratin the dark waters that mute my cries
you pierce the liquid with your eyes
and raise the frozen voice that dies
this once in a million years
you run your hands over my green skin
standing in the dusk, sigh & listen
to the distant cries the moon will stain
i dreamed of battles & was slain
for the sea; nothing
these dark hands of life
cold pale eyes pour tears of spring
the dragonfly awaits with his knife like wing
as the water dimples
the mirror pond of stars
evenfalls the orchid
the humidity of mars
in the twilight rain
princess must softly run
sad: the flower, fades, & falls
from the yellow evening sun
my lantern dropped down into
deep waters of a still dark well
butterfly asleep
folded soft on temple bell...
