even though there's a few thousand
on my street,

there's so few in the parade.

but it isn't either.

as all his others.

but, i understand that's because
of the committee.
the committee?
yeah, the float judges.

ohh, i see. and who are they?
i s'pose just some people
that have an idea about
how floats oughta look.

mmm, i see. you ever entered?
oh yeah! every year.

well, the committee spoke.

and what did they speak?
oh, the same name, same float.
and you never win?
