Take these lies away from me
leave me speechless
dumb and deaf
if it means I will no longer have to be
I am tired
I am weary
I am dead on the inside
pretending so long
can only take you so far
before you break character
and are accused of hipocrasy
And how far do you go before you lose yourself?
where does the line between acting and decit fall?
Aren't you tired yet?
I am exhausted
by the weight of all that I have never done
and all I have said.
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray lord take me deep
into a world where truth can reign
so I can find my soul again.
