Residing Figure Eight by H.M StevensTree, knocked from its stand
Piles over a split middle earth
Branches worn by light, spread
Parallel to ground
And poor old roots,
Squirm for soil, down.
Trunk remains a cascading wonder
A courier through interlaced knots,
Strings of the universe,
Between galaxies, beginning and end
For, old tree still grows
In perpetuity, along godÂ’s horizon
