on being lost (haiku)

by Paganini Jones

Stony wilderness
- bent against the wind
a blade of grass

Author's Note:
In the Alps above the alpine plants and in the snowline almost nothing grows. The mountains are grey brown rock or 'white' with ice and snow. It can't possibly have been grass, but I couldn't get close enough to see. Maria reminded me of the image just today.

I like the clash of the harshness of the stony wilderness and the hope of life in the blade of grass - nice juxtaposition!
