Good Bye Solitude

by Christopher Shin

How easy it is
to drink a glass
of intoxicated
youth that makes
you remember the
stupidity of former
mistakes?

Isn't easy to say
old apologizes
when rum mixes
with bloody?

When women and
broken hearts are
only a jagged little
shard in you're on
your way to growing
up to the bitter
grape you would be?

Yet we go one with
struggles of
holidays and days
gone by with
little significants
of joy in our
shoulders.

So let time go one,
and my love for zest
in this world becomes
dull while driving
down the dangerous streets
of finding hope,
but only finding despair.

All these questions
give me very little
hope in you and me,
but hey at least we
are all confused.

And the barrel of
life doesn't seem
so potential right now,
and the rum feels
better as it becomes
the only warmth in your
soul. So good bye
to solitude.
