1 Fox Hunter Part 1 (His Neck is Red)

by James Zealy

Sitting on the Hunter (Horse),
He waits, glasses askew
Waiting for Bubba (hound)
To Find their prey (fat chance)

When out of no where
Darts the object of their obsession
Scrambling along a crooked line
Outta the hen house

Straight for the woods
The Big Chestnut mare
Bolts after the red blaze
With Bubba bayin' loudly
Hot In pursuit

Glasses a bouncin
Legs flapping
Big Chesty and Bubba
Flyin madly

Until the tree limb appears (yup)
Sweepin the tobacco chewin
Rider from his perch
Whilst the Fox Darts
Straight done its hole

Dustin himself
Spittin tobacco and dirt
Glasses cracked He bellows
"I'll get you yet you dang fox"

Author's Note: I Had thought about doing a series with this character, a ways back, but I didn't know how it would be received. Oh well Let's lay it out there and see if anyone likes it.

I think this is so cute!!! Vividly described, easy to picture it being so.

This is really good. That last line makes me think of Elmer Fudd.

Well, I had to start with the kit when I got hooked by the foxy librarian! Already, I love the series... probably because I know these people's in-laws and their out-laws...
