Sunrise on the Beach

by Marjorie Anne Reagan

It's as if I feel you right beside me
though we have not spoken for months
your arms wrapped around my shoulders

Sweet bristly kisses on my lips
and cheeks
hair brushing against my shoulders

I feel you so near
all of a sudden in just a days time

what happened dear
to make your soul come visit me

did you know my pain

Has our love finally met
in the ocean sunrise mist
where it so rightly belongs

I feel your prayers
your love
your warmth

unmistakably you

knowing you feel mine too

your heart is touching mine
in such an ethereal way

I knew we could transcend time and space
and everyones boundaries for us

never leave me again dear heart
now you do not have to

warming me like the sun
are the sweet vibrations of you

sunrise on the ocean
like the firelight in your eyes
mist rising off the dunes

our spirits unite
in the warm dew of mornings first light

freedom and glory are ours
keep embracing me this way

I shall never need another
