Construction Chick

by James Zealy

Muscles Ripplin
Paint’s a drippin
Smoothly on the wall
Quick as Lightenin
She’s finishin
Strokin precise
As a surgeon’s knife

Deck’s Needin
Lottsa fixin
She can repair it
Or make it
Or stain it
Or nail it

Room ‘s got no walls
Need’s Sheet rock
Damn sure can hang it
Darn well can mud it
Makes it look nice
Even when nothin else is right

Matter of fact
Ain’t nothing she can’t hack
Dog gone she gives no slack
Cuz by god she ain’t no hick
She’s “The!!!!! Construction Chick”

depicting a person rather than a scene inside out is a delicate job. And you did it in a poetic fashion.

She sounds rough and ready. You've created a persona very well. I enjoyed the wordy construction of a female tech. I've worked with techs for about five years now but they've all been men. You did so well in this construction, as I was reading it, I was placing her in certain scenes from memory to see how she would have done with them. Quite a bit of fun. Wove your chick in quite nicely, in fact. Really enjoyed this.
