the antagonist by Brynn Dizackin their album
there is a close-up of her arm,
a tense fist,
bulging forearm muscle
extensor carpi radialus brevis
(a useless photograph
for remembering a wedding)
also her bulky shoulder
bicep,
and intrusive stomach
the thought of her body once next to yours
is a vicarious memory
of violation.
08/19/2005 Author's Note: "to a certain extent, just getting up and going into the world each day is a violation."
