Seeing my reflection
After a night's sleep
Seems to be a need
To reassure myself
I'm still here
Like yesterday
I haven't changed
I'm still me
My life has continuity
From day to day,
So without formality
I look at my reflection
In the mirror
Saying nothing
But giving myself
A resolute look
So I can start the day.
