silver slitted eyes regarding from afar
a gelid cold slithers under the door
though none seem to notice

a facsimile of a happy ending
urgent eyes grow crimson
with a hunger that's never quenched

hearts beat like drums
beauty teems throughout
though only one, catches the pristine eye of the vampire

chestnut brown locks gather at shoulders
green emerald eyes shine; reflecting the light
long legs, and a walk like no other

chosen one awaiting, unknowingly
innocent to impending doom
mind-control takes effect

only the view of his handsome face in her mind
as she weaves through the crowded room
to the darkened corner where he waits

licking his lips, canines lengthen
she steps in front of him, shy smile playing across her face
all inhibitions are out the window

temptation takes precedence
bending down he seizes her mouth with his
entrancing her, romancing her

kissing from her mouth to her neck
the demon inside growls as it wakes
and the beast takes hold

the vampire's kiss is a constant reminder
of that one sultry night so many years ago
that she can't remember
