when lust becomes love

by Charlie Morgan

...when lust becomes love
the change will be dressed
in kid-clothes and trikes,
bikes and bats,
weiner roasts for the team,
dairy queen malts if you win,
a day at the coach's farm,
swimming, fishing, giggling,
roistering in the rays,
kids made of smiles
of innocence.

that's when mama's and daddy's
lust becomes love.

I really like your addressal of the difference, and the new, deeper stage of love and all it entails. Lovely.
