Sorry bunny but I don't come without baggage by Bradd HowardI'm afraid that when you rub your eyes
some of the perfection will come off like sleep
and the love that you profess will become outdated like
my dark roots in my bleached blonde hair.
My issues deep-seated, insecurity tinged suspicion.
How could anyone ever love the akward little boy with the crooked smile?
and yet you claim to do just that.
You empty my suitcase of fears, take away my layers of clothing, my cotton fiber walls
you leave me naked, vulnerable and gasping
You take all the oxygen out of the room
and leave me breathless in wonder
Wondering if I will ever learn to breathe with out you again.
I'm stumbling down hallways and highways
faltering on feet that can barely contain my weight
staring at you with imploring eyes
"Can you help with these bags?" 08/02/2005 Author's Note: for my little bunny... nose twitching. My White Rabbit, may we find the Hole together... our very own Wonderland
