Seek out, my shining star...

by Howard F Farewell

I want to be mellow like the moon

Hanging low in its own dim reflecting light

Singing songs full of passion and mood

Sliding through the voice box of the night sky like honey

‘Til they touch down on the oh so lucky few who turn their heads

My what a sight! They move and sway like the ripples of the surf

Wanting one day to be so sweet.

! This is good. Really good. Such a strange departure for you, but it fits. What a great image and your language is definitely maturing. Two thumbs up and an add to my favorites.

Instant favorite. Whatever complaints you've had about not being able to write? Well worth the wait! <3
