i'm so lucky

by Charlie Morgan

... ahhh, i'm counting my breaths until
the next time the world and i agree.

so far, i've managed to suffocate
and, still, no air in sight.

sartre said, or maybe wittgenstein
'man's biggest daily concern: suicide, or not?"

each eastern sunrise allows me
more window-view of what is meant.

why not?
an interesting way to view the day.

and while justice, nullified, can only hover
over the worlds' courtrooms,

for application of law is so huge
it fills all the courtrooms of humanity.

so, john paul, or ludwig (whichever?),
were you through, or is there more?

i need to be dried for you've
seeded my clouds of pathetic reason,

causing me to digest your words
at my virtual picnic o' life.

and now, i look for rest
on the belly of a magician.

Yes, life and death walks hand in hand. Miss a moment of life and we are confronting death.Chase life and death keeps on chasing you.

Chaz ~ you sure put me in my place this evening. I read this over and over. Every time ~ I loved it more. Thank you for the "gentle" reminder. :) Shon
