WHEN I'M NOT DRINKING YOU DON'T MAKE ANY SENSE

by Olivia Weinkein

i fall into this laugh like i'm hooked on something
other than you and it wasn't supposed to be this
complicated biting my nails waiting for anything
to feel good again.

we are crazy forever rushing into the next big dramatic
scenerio and i said i'm not scared yet and you had to
show that you weren't either.

little devil, she's looking your way again are you waiting
for it to mean something

and i could almost and i could
almost
but i won't go too far yet.

we are waking up while wide awake to liquor on our
breath, false words in the air and i catch a glimpse of
myself and recognize you again.

leave it to me to always go and kill the mood but to let it
stagger and suffer...

i'll leave that to you.

I have just left this behind. What a lovely, candid write, love. I'm adding this to my favorites.

Been there, done that got the t-shirt. But that ending...like it was said before, a quick hard punch. Sharp.
