Freedom is defined
not by its limitations
for such do not exist;
rather our expectations,
hopes and fears set
dread stones in our hearts
and bands of steel
around our souls.

Parched at sea,
drenched in the barren waste,
we seek what is not ours
and heed not what we are:
free.

As God made us, so are we.
