Into battle
With myself
I’ve lost this war
Before
Many times
I’ve lived
Inside
The steel
Cylinder
To protect
My perfect
Imperfection
I’ve wielded
Weapons
Thrown back
Upon myself
Again and
Again
I’ve tasted glory
If only
Intellectually
And painted myself
Invisible
