The End is Nigh (October 3rd) by T.J. CarverLadies and Gentlemen, it's that time again!
When doctors' and madmen proclaim the end
of all that we know and all that we love,
as if the head-honcho sittin' above
will make it blatant that the end is near;
October the third started this fear.
Cayce predicted Earthquakes, fires, and floods,
but this is no more than what the Earth always does.
Then a Papal prediction of much blood to be shed
when Muslims and Christians lay together in bed.
The Lady of Fatima claims a disease
will ravage the land, the sky, and the seas.
Nostradamus, as always, in front of it all,
claims that from Heaven, a fire will fall.
Cayce predicted natural events,
the Papal prediction is nothing but bent.
The Lady and dead propheet
may have predicted the truth,
but these outlandish assumptions
lack any proof. 11/06/2003 Author's Note: Inspired by a Weekly Sun-type magazine. We all know how every month they print an end of the world extravaganza blowout, but one on October 3, 2003 was especially delightful in it's craziness.
