Coil by Uriel Tovarthe coldest moment
is that thin instant in which
you realize you're mortal.
That moment that tells you
that you will die.
A fleeting redundancy
laced with iron regrets
and rusted hopes.
for that moment confusion
is forgotten and
anxiety, embraced. 07/12/2005 Posted on 07/13/2005 Copyright © 2024 Uriel Tovar

Posted by Rula Shin on 07/13/05 at 08:52 PM A nicely written poem and interesting take on the outcome of realizing our mortality, "for that moment confusion
is forgotten and
anxiety, embraced." - I myself would attempt to embrace LIFE instead :-)
