by Leonard M Hawkes

In brotherhood
'Round the campfire
In the spruce wood
By the shore,
We sang a song
Of Service,
Love, and Joy.

Out from the hopeful
Flickering coals,
Our music struck
The Darkness,
And a loon call
Echoed answer
From from afar.
