The Wicked Rewarded

by T.J. Carver

And so the good die young
Broken and bleeding in the street.

The wicked rewarded.

Ophaned child crying alone
Sick seeds sown by compassion.

The wicked rewarded.

Ineffable wisdom to drive us forth
Free will breaking the pure.

The wicked rewarded.

And so the good die young,
Orphaned child crying alone.
Ineffable wisdom to drive us forth
Broken and bleeding in the street.
Sick seeds sown by compassion
Free will breaking the pure.

The wicked rewarded.

A powerful piece of writing. I like how the thoughts cycle and get recycled, as they do indeed when tragedy strikes.
