Caught in the wave that rises,
destroys, climbs my life just to
bring it down. Flashes of clear
to violent and opaque blanket
and hold me against the wall.

Pressure seeps around the center
cover to squeeze out breath.
Scream into the dark, fight
the pain, trying so hard stay.

Reach for anything, find nothing,
hope for anyone, find no one.
