Cheese Hearts

by Uriel Tovar

her pink and white
keds
lit up the chuck e. cheese
floor
leaving a stream of light on that
dull green carpet.
she laughed with all her
thin white teeth showing
ran back
and grabbed my finger
gripping it tight with her fist.

Uriel, you capture "the moment" of your niece descriptively, but how you could think in the middle of Chuck E. Cheeses is beyond me. LOL! But what a nice uncle to take her there.

All I have to say is that I'm smiling BIG at this beautiful scene. The love is so apparent, the impressions present and shared so precious.
