Skies Asunder

by T.J. Carver

I saw a vision in the sky
A prophecy of doom.

The dusk lit sky was split in twain
The darkness and the light.

The clouds waged war, the gods stood still,
In armageddon skies.

The bloodless life began to spill
Celestial humours cold.

And with this death, I knew rebirth,
Through the rapture of my soul.
