Little Stitches (Te Amo)

by Lulu Alder

With the scent of magnolias tousled in my hair
and the whispers of a pregnant angel gracefully spiraling among the wind,
the fairytale of reality intoxicates my wakened dreams
of enigmatic possibilities: infinity shared with you.

Fairies courting the vitreous stars dance on the thread of silver moonbeams
in the space between your palm and my cheek.
Their tiny footsteps pounding out a coral blush of prioress’s envy.
Wondrous passion streaming down like a meteor shower on the heart.

Fireflies blink Morse coded proposals of revelry
as you graze your lips along my lobe and chant
“Te Amo...Te Amo...Te Amo.”
Little stitches that piece together the chronicles of compassion.
