i had a dream
i told v.
about you.

she would not
speak to me.

her world
shifted

you & i lay in the grass and
kissed each other's shoulders

across the river,
she wore a wedding dress
and wept

for the abrupt way
she had touched you,

and the ache of an empty space
she'd piled boxes in front of;;

Yes, her world must have shattered with the shattering of hopes and with this, the love and faith.
