Red Sky by Richard VinceCeiling suspended above me
Walls staring at me
Taunting me with words of wisdom
Enhancing my ability
Limiting my scope
We are not so gullible any more
Vicarious liability
Blame you for our faults
Second hand deficiencies wasting us
Read a travel brochure
Carry me far away
I feel as if I'm there - feel away
Sun setting above
Sky is engulfed with flames
It sets for me, and for you
For everyone...
Don't let the cold take your life

Posted by Michelle Angelini on 06/30/05 at 08:43 AM Richard, your words always have the ability to enchant me. The first 3 stanzas are warnings. Stanza 4 an escape, or wish to escape. S5 is a universal truth, but instead of leaving it personal, you include everyone in the beauty and the final admonition.
