love paralysis

by Shonda Chrissonberry

you
are my forbidden fruit
a love I cannot possess
a desire unfulfilled

your memory
is my torment
longing for your familiar touch
I hear you whisper my name

we
are forevermates
somewhere deep within
we complete each other
body mind and soul

you
will be the death of me
seems I've lost us along the way
you now belong to another

At one time or another we all have met the one we think is our forevermate. If we are lucky we find the one who is. Sometimes I think love is the death of us all. Woderful poem, make one think.
