Cut your own thread

by Ava Blu

measured space today
thinking about taking a trip
distances weaving between threads
I could never cut

tie a knot around my tires
worn tread sustaining ego
the rims can be replaced
no matter how many times you steal them

waxing around the edges
gotta keep up the front
rolled down windows
you don’t know how to shut

pathetic attempts
at being a thief
you can’t teach me anything
until you cut loose the words

2 sides to every story
no matter how many times you flip
here’s your option to just drive away
the point I know
you’ll never get.

jeana I like this as well lots of good imagery and word play... I just have one question? why the double space between every line? maybe I am being picky but it makes every line seem seperate from everything else and doesn't add to the flow of the poem. some things should be seperate some should be together... you have this poem down word wise... I would work with the form though... just my suggestion
