So much work
To create a Sunday newspaper
And I treat it flippantly
Not reading
Most store ads, comics
None of the
Business, Classified, Real Estate, Travel
Sections
Reading only
Baseball, local
News
Skimming
International, national, human interest
News
I will take a moment
To study the ad photos of
Televisions, radios, sneakers
Or supermarket sales
I cut out an odd article
To keep or show someone
Everything else
Into a plastic bag
That goes out with the garbage
I do this every Sunday
A ritual to end the week.
