Life Lessons

by Alicia Vann

A kitty cat can never trust
And there are certain must
Never, never ever. Never,
For their teeth will sever
Even the hand that feeds
And watch it as it bleeds
Walking away malcontent
Not a second to relent
As the clever claws come out
Causing more blood to spout.
Never, try to give a cat a bath.

Author's Note: This is a little nonsense really, butmy precious boy, an eight year old tuxedo exacted an injury to me today that may cause me to lose my left hand. The little buggers sister suffered an allergic reaction to a flea treatment and the vet told me to wash my cats so she can't get anymore in her system from grooming him. I;m glad I am a Christain woman, or I would already be hunting that man down in his home. In eight years, I've never given him a bath. I know better. Woe is me. Oh well, here's hoping my writing hand still works by morning.
