I pass a dog
Walking with its owner
The dog looks at me
I look at the dog,
In that fractional second
As eyes meet
I sense this dog
Is on the far right side
Of the doggy bell curve
A dog of high Dog-Q
The dog looks away
I then realize
This dog thinks of me
As an average human.
