Drains Into Bay by Uriel Tovarthe stone colored sky thundered
and darkened blue
weeping onto a cotton surfaced earth.
i followed the drops,
singularities--becoming a whole.
the side walk city's half cracked glaze
drained the stream into a yellow, green gutter
leading from obscurity into nonexistence.
my footsteps separated
ocean from wave
crashing over edge.
as i walk further
i melt into the city lights.
