by Carolyn Covillepalm trees, swaying
the heat soaks into my pores
waves wash it away 09/07/2004 Author's Note: wanted to write a poem about miami; as soon as i stopped writing,
i realized it ended up being a metaphor of my (then) current status of transferring schools and the turmoil that goes along with it
