Before the morning really began
I remember hearing
What day it was
As though the specific day
Was important,
"Today's Tuesday!"
I thought this meant
Tuesday was special
For some reason,
No, Tuesday wasn't special
The announcement I think
Was just a navigator's call
How far we were
From the weekend.
