Twilights glow is an ember that burns slowly
just as your words burn in my ears
that you wanted nothing to do with me
my history you had a problem with
yet changes happened and you were blind to them
and you let the sun go down
on twenty years of history
how sad that the beauty of twilight
can be banished because of your lack of compassion
