with the cats "meow" and soft,
padding at the window pain.

Eager and yearning to escape,
its inside prison.

staring at the ceiling,
awaiting the sandman's magic.

into a dreamlike existence.

before drifting off,
with one last look at the moon.

Eager and yearning to escape,
with the dish, the cow, and the spoon.
