Driving to find Self

by Ava Blu

she says
she wants to dye her hair blue
so it matches her car

it’s her baby this car

with it’s delicate rims
	black windows
		and compact size

(it’s everything she owns)

she likes how it c
		          u
		            r
                            v
                          e
                        s
to her whims
and brakes at her feet

she likes the control of the wheel
as she flashes her teeth

I say
I won’t be able to tell you apart

she says
		that’s the point.

not much to comment on other than i really like this...a connection between animate and inanimate, or maybe better yet, a collusion?...~JPP
