porcelain gods are idols
that we feed with our
excess.
we only have to offer
what the contents of our bowels
reject.
overdosed, intoxicated,
drug-induced, regurgitated particles.
we bite beyond
our chewing capability,
then say things like
our eyes are bigger than our bellies.
truth be told,
our bellies are bigger than our gods.
