Denial by Maria Terezia Ferenczadrift in a sea of reverie
wet with moments past
memories lovely they seem to be
unsure they slip from my grasp
water warm now turns to cold
awash I am with anger old
moment in time a choice is made
anger once strong now starts to fade
awash I am in tepid tide
swimming away from envy from pride
faster away from hurt from pain
I reach the Isle
always the same
Denial 05/23/2005 Author's Note: sadly the truth, I feel, I rage, I deny and let go....someday I am sure all of it will wash up on me...

Posted by Jeffrey Parren on 05/23/05 at 07:56 PM it sounds by reading this that it could be both denial and regret a little bit? i may be wrong...but anyway, the words are powerful and the images strong while conveying a strong message as well...a pleasure as always Maria ~JPP |
